It is taking approximately 2 months after submitting the renewal request for delivery to the Costa Rica Post Offices.
New changes for entry to Costa Rica with and without a visa. These changes apply from November 2025.
A visa is an authorization to enter a country. In the case of Costa Rica, there are regulations called the General Guidelines for Entry and Stay Visas for Non-Residents, which establish, based on the foreign nationality, whether or not a visa is required, visa exceptions, and entry requirements, among other things.
